Founder & Board Director – Donna Pinchum: A wife of 25 years to Detroit Police Officer John Pinchum and mother of 3 children. Donna has spent the last 18 years serving and volunteering in youth organizations and ministries. She is a graduate of the Word of Faith Bible Training Center, wherein she is also a devoted church member and faithful children’s church volunteer for the last 9 years. Over the years, Mrs. Pinchum has acquired the experience and training necessary to begin MOTIVITY, an organization designed to promote the health, success and overall well being of young people throughout the metro Detroit area and beyond.
Board Chair – Dr. Althea L. Simpson: – Dr. Althea Lynn Simpson has been involved in teaching and training youth and adults for more than 25 years. Dr. Simpson, a graduate of the Syracuse University College of Law and Ecumenical Theological Seminary, utilizes her diverse educational background to develop curriculum, training materials and workshops for a variety of religious and community service organizations. Dr. Simpson, a firm believer in the power and necessity of education, currently works as a director of Christian Education, a consultant for a rotation Sunday school program and a legal instructor. She is honored to serve as Motivity’s Board Chair and is excited about the positive impact Motivity’s programming will have on the metropolitan Detroit Community. Dr. Simpson resides in Detroit, MI with her husband, Christopher.

Donyale Edwards – Secretary: Ms. Edwards has experience with financial administration and compliance with WIA, JET, Title I, CDBG and charter planning grant requirements. She has over six years of experience administering youth programs, including the Detroit Cares Academy, Project New Start (an Adult Education and Employment Preparation Program), summer enrichment, substance abuse, and Leadership Institute programs. Her financial, management, educational grant administration, program development and marketing expertise will be centered on this grant. Currently, Ms. Edwards is the program administrator for Youth With Purpose, LLC.
